It is important to note that the duration of a distance learning program is different from the time given in traditional in-person studies. Distance learning programs do not have breaks for semesters or vacations since courses develop according to the pace at which the student completes them.<\/span><\/p>\n

Due to this modality, the student has the autonomy to organize an agenda based on their professional and personal needs. We understand that most students have family, academic, and work responsibilities and it is for this reason that the study methodology that is used allows them to have a flexible schedule and direct contact with the academic advisor assigned for the respective coordination in the development of the personalized study plan.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”What is the study methodology that AAU uses?” tab_id=”1496763901012-a12520a7-96eb”][vc_column_text]The study system and methodology included to all academic areas of the following levels of professional studies:<\/span><\/p>\n

Certificates \u2013 Bachelor\u2019s, Master\u2019s, Doctorate\u2019s (PhD) and Post-doctorate\u2019s degrees<\/span><\/p>\n

The study programs consist of four academic phases:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Phase I: <\/b>\u00a0In this phase the student will have to successfully complete\u00a05 mandatory courses set by AAU.<\/span><\/p>\n

Phase II: <\/b>\u00a0This is the phase where you will get a personalized study plan. The student can either develop their course or have them recognized and validated through their work and academic experience.<\/span><\/p>\n

Phase III: <\/b>Thesis or dissertation development phase. (It does not apply for certificates).<\/span><\/p>\n

Phase IV:<\/b> Data verification for the preparation and printing of all the graduation documents of the student<\/span><\/p>\n

The studies are conducted through a distance andragogical (self-taught) system via a Virtual Academic Platform, where the student, under the guidance of our academic advisors, can receive theoretical teachings and develop their intellectual capacity freely.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”What is a personalized curriculum?” tab_id=”1496763928571-97be7fa5-4aaa”][vc_column_text]Once the student is enrolled in the study program and has access to the Virtual Academic Platform, the Academic Department of AAU designs a personalized curriculum based on the academic and professional interests of the student.
